“A mind committed to compassion is like an overflowing reservoir a constant source of energy, determination and kindness”
The Dalai Lama
The brain is not the mind. Mind is self aware consciousness. Brain is a vehicle for the expression of our individual consciousness.
All is mind. All is evolving into self consciousness. Everything is alive, nothing is inanimate. Even the rock is alive. It comprises an unimaginable number of atoms connected and dancing around at a rate vastly exceeding even our fastest supercomputer. The rock responds to the entire Universe by means of the gravitational and electromagnetic signals it is receiving. The rock though unlike us has no need to exert itself. Unlike human existence it’s survival does not depend on the struggle to self replicate. Maybe we human latecomers to the Universe are only now through the benefit of contemporary quantum physics coming to realise that all around us is and always has been pervaded by living consciousness or mind.
The physical wiring of the brain is affected by our thoughts moving through it. If we concentrate intensely on an object, neurons will wire together causing us to experience more of these feelings in our lives. And through this process we can seemingly magically affect physical circumstances outside of us.
This change in neural pathways and synapses in response to behavioural and environmental changes is defined by neuroscientists as neuroplasticity. Mind is a servo mechanism for the positive evolution of all that exists. Mind is ever expanding as consciousness A self organising intelligence which is always seeking equilibrium. Mind is the reason why the human organism instinctively heals itself. Why nature balances itself.
All is mind. All is alive. And we should contemplate our aliveness. We should bring more consciousness to every part of our physical organism, to our brain to every cell of our body. Do this simply by being aware of our aliveness. Aliveness is the very desire for and impulse to life in our being is. This jewel in the lotus of our being. The impulse to be alive. The holy grail of all esoteric traditions, the ‘philosophers stone’ of the alchemists. The very thing which has driven us from a seed or spermatozoa to a fully developed adult capable of generating further life. We die because the impulse to life, to aliveness, within us is not strong enough and therefore fades in time.
As far back as 1999 research conducted by Princeton University found that neurons could migrate within our brain making neurogenesis – the ability of the brain to repair itself a reality. We still in 2015 have not realised that our brains are a vast ocean of power. The human brain is the greatest laboratory ever, which can produce the same effect as any medicine, antibiotic or vitamin. Science knows this to be the ‘placebo effect’.
Today our brains are in bondage to futile philosophies, fanciful wants and the superficiality of fashionable consumption. Our attention is on invented needs, not on realising the fullness of human potential which belies true happiness in you and me.
If we reflect on the fact that all is mind our lives will become profounder, richer. We will realise that all existence is composed of the same atoms, particles and molecules. The same substance and essence. Held together by the all pervading, all encompassing Christ Frequency as I refer to it. The spiritual signature which goes underpins the recently discovered Higgs Boson particle or so called by scientists, God Particle. This Christ Frequency is something much deeper still. It is the essence of mind. Of life.
Mind is limitless. It has no boundaries.
The great philosopher Shopenhauer believed that the reason we are capable of self-sacrifice for another is because the rescuer realises that on a deeper level that he or she and the individual in need are actually one. At the decisive moment the veil of separateness is lifted. So in a sense we feel that we are somehow saving ourselves. The prior sense of separateness is simply a function of the way we process and experience in space and time.
Esoterically speaking, the fontanelle, the soft palate of the skull is the point by which the spirit enters and exits the body. If we withdraw consciousness there before sleeping we will be able after years of intense practice to exit naturally. To die consciously. And at the point of death to pass to the higher planes without losing consciousness.
Descartes postulated in the 17th century that the pineal gland in the centre of our brain was the “seat of the soul”. It is here where spirit and matter meet. Even if we go down to the last cellular subatomic particle in every atom, in every molecule in every neuron, science will still not be able to define mind or consciousness.
Mind is ever evolving, and unfolding. This is the purpose of life, of our human incarnation. As we are all connected to the same mind stream or collective unconscious we all have the seed within us to become seer, sage and Saint.
